Traditional English Shepherd Huts

New Zealand Shepherd Huts, are designed and built in New Zealand by craftsman builder Steve Sygrove.

While Steve has been in the building business for over 30 years, the Shepherd Hut project is a special passion - to design and produce Shepherd Huts built to traditional specifications from quality materials.  This allows Steve to demonstrate his skills as craftsman in wood and other materials

Each hut is built to order with the customer able to select from a range of sizes and design. The Hut can be delivered in sections and assembled on site which enables the huts to be placed in situations with limited access. Assembly takes one day. Alternatively the huts can be pre-assembled and delivered on site by truck.

New Zealand Shepherd Huts are constructed from traditional, durable materials and are fully insulated. The huts are delivered pre-painted to customers choice and are ready for immediate use. All huts are pre-wired with plugs and lights and come with electrical certificate.

Shepherd Huts are designed to be moved about the farm and are fitted with old fashion farm wheels - so once sited it is relatively easy to have the hut moved to another aspect or view. They are not designed to be towed along the road - but can be moved by HIAB Truck to other properties if desired.

“..they saw a gypsy caravan, shining with newness, painted a canary-yellow picked out in green, and red wheels. “There you are!” cried the Toad, straddling and expanding himself. “There’s real life for you, embodied in that little cart.” Wind in the Willows
